Facilitator Bio(s):

Scott Hogate  is a Senior Vice President & Treasury Management Officer at PNC Bank since October 2014 with a focus on sales in Southern California while also leveraging internally his 20+ years of practitioner experience in overseeing Treasury, Acquisition Integration, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fleet Vehicle Management and Risk Management. 

Prior to PNC Bank, Scott was a Treasury & Financial Consultant who completed a nine-month consulting engagement at Universal Services of America...a privately held, fast-growing, standing-guard Company with more than 60,000 employees. Based in Santa Ana, he was hired to identify, analyze and design a traditional treasury function which included bank, account and service justification, the development of a cash forecast as well as process improvements involving the cash conversion cycle. Scott’s record of Treasury design, operational optimization and integration includes positions as Assistant Treasurer at 99¢ Only Stores (Retail), Treasurer at DDi Corp (Manufacturing), Consultant at Guthy-Renker (Sales Marketing), Assistant Treasurer at Abbott Medical Optics (Medical Device), formerly Advanced Medical Optics, Treasury Manager at AmerisourceBergen (Distribution), Apria Healthcare (Home Healthcare), and FHP Healthcare (HMO). 

Scott graduated from the University of Redlands with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and an undergraduate degree from Chapman University with majors in Finance and Economics. Scott has more than twenty years of experience in Treasury including earning his Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.


Joseph Clark is an accomplished and solutions-focused Senior Executive and Thought Leader with more than 45 years of success across the financial services, security, law enforcement, and accounting industries. Leveraging extensive experience mitigating risk and compliance infringements for companies across a range of industries, he is a valuable asset for startups currently going through a security breach or looking to prevent future incidents. His broad areas of expertise include auditing, SOX, accounting, risk management, program management, security, identity theft, and fraud prevention.

Throughout his executive career, Joseph has held leadership positions at accounting and financial organizations including the Association of Financial Professions (San Diego), Moss Adams LLP, and J.H. Cohn LLP. He has been responsible for developing strategic plans to insure proper fiscal policies and program development, resulting in increased membership; creating the “Hood Robbin” Campaign to teach best practices for risk and financial management; and completing SOX 404 audits to ensure organizational security and compliance.

Joseph holds a BS in Public Administration from Point Park University. As a seasoned Thought Leader, he coordinates the AFP of San Diego’s educational programs related to the “Certified Treasury Professional” credential, and wrote Confidential Instructions for the Conduct of Internal Theft Investigations for the US Postal Inspection Service.
