Alternative Sources of Capital and PPP Forgiveness

This session will  outline current lending market conditions, bank trends and examine alternative government and non-profit capital options available in the San Diego business community. It will also provide an overview of the Forgiveness parameters of the  Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).  Specifically, the presentation will cover how treasury and finance professionals can adapt the PPP funds for accounting, record keeping, revenue review, and how to properly track for reporting and forgiveness eligibility.

Susan Lamping, Vice President of Sales

Susan has overseen the Small Business Lending activities at the CDC for the last eighteen years. She heads up a team of loan officers throughout California to assist local businesses in meeting their financing needs through direct funding, partnering with other organizations, and referral relationships.

Prior to this, Ms. Lamping was the Vice President of Lending and Marketing at ACCION San Diego, a local micro lending organization, for five years. In this capacity she managed all aspects of lending, marketing and outreach targeted towards underserved business owners. Ms. Lamping was instrumental in creating new partnerships with local organizations and in implementing new processes to realize greater efficiencies.

She brings with her a wide array of experience in the international and development fields. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from San Diego State University, Ms. Lamping joined the United States Peace Corps where she served for two years in Nepal. Here she worked as a teacher for one year focusing on the subjects of math and science, and a teacher trainer in her second year of service. Ms. Lamping has taught high school math, English as a second language and held several positions in a research capacity. She received her Master’s degree in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training and is proficient in three languages.
